Motor stepper hibrid menggabungkan ciri-ciri terbaik magnet kekal dan teknologi keengganan berubah-ubah untuk memberikan prestasi unggul. Ia sering dirujuk sebagai motor hibrid kerana gabungan ciri-ciri dari kedua-dua jenis motor.
Rotor dalam motor stepper hibrid mengandungi magnet kekal, manakala stator mempunyai berbilang gegelung yang berinteraksi dengan rotor untuk mencipta medan magnet. Rotor direka bentuk dengan gigi atau kutub yang sejajar dengan kutub stator, membolehkan kawalan yang lebih halus ke atas resolusi langkah. Gabungan reka bentuk magnet kekal dan keengganan berubah ini memberikan tork yang tinggi, resolusi langkah yang sangat baik, dan tindak balas yang minimum, menjadikan motor stepper hibrid sangat cekap.
