Availability:

The BesFoc DM860H is a fully digital stepper driver developed with advanced DSP control algorithm based on the latest motion control technology. It is easy to use and it can be used to drive 2-phase nema 34 hybrid stepper motors smoothly with less heat and noise. It works with 24-80VAC or 24-110VDC voltage and can provide max 7.2A peak current. The system achieves exceptional smoothness, delivering optimal torque while eliminating mid-range instability. Its automatic motor identification and parameter configuration enables quick setup with different motors. Compared to traditional analog drives, the DM860H operates with lower noise, less heat generation, and smoother movement. These features make the DM860H ideal for high-performance applications.

The connection between the driver and the two-phase hybrid stepping motor is four-wire. The motor windings are connected in parallel and in series, and the connection method is good. The high-speed performance is good, but the driver current is large (1.73 times the motor winding current). The drive current is equal to the motor winding current.

Interface Signal Description:

PinsFunctions
PULPulse signal, compatible with 5/12/24V
DIRDirectional signalling, compatible with 5/12/24V
ENAEnable Signal, Suspendable
A+A+ Phase of stepper motor
A-A- Phase of stepper motor
B+B+ Phase of stepper motor
B-B- Phase of stepper motor

DC power input: 0V
VDCDC power input: 18 ~60V
Resetting a drive fault when the offline enable signal is active prohibits any valid pulses, the drive's output power elements are switched off and the motor has no holding torque.

DIP Switch Setting:

In order to drive different torque stepping motors, users can set the output phase current of the driver through the dip switches SW1, SW2, SW3 on the driver panel, the output current corresponding to each switch position, the output current corresponding to different models of the driver is different, see the table below:

SW4: ‘OFF’ is with half-current function; ‘ON’ is without half-current function.

Half-current function means that after 500ms of no stepping pulse, the driver output current is automatically reduced to 70% of the rated output current, which is used to prevent the motor from heating up.
